This project belong to SSA+WE | Æ was involved in all the project phases (design ideation, planning, coordination of construction works) as project leader - photographs by Rasmus Norlander.

The new foyer for Mariehøj Cultural Centre in Holte, north of Copenhagen, draws a clear profile in the landscape, functioning as a heart that brings people together and highlights the many users and activities in the house.

The cultural centre merges together with the green landscape bridging the gap between the arrival area, the cultural plaza and the beautiful ladscape of Mariehøj at the back, creating an organic connecting link between these different levels.

A new foyer building conntects and assembles the cultural centre's building bodies.
The buildings are extruded out in order to connect at both first and second floors.
The two new building bodies are connected and fused into a single form.
The building is split and folded down to create an outdoor connection between the front and back of the building.
